  1. Gastroscopy for Examining the Abnormality of the Upper Gastrointestinal Tract

Gastroscopy is a procedure to exam upper gastrointestinal tract from esophagus to duodenum using a flexible endoscope which contains camera & light at the tip. The images taken from the endoscope is displayed on monitor to provide diagnosis, treatment and biopsy for pathological examination. It can use for diagnosis and treatment of upper gastrointestinal tract bleeding.

 

  1. Colonoscopy for Examining the Abnormality of the Lower Gastrointestinal Tract

Colonoscopy is a procedure to examine the abnormality of the inside lining of lower gastrointestinal tract with a flexible endoscope. It can provide diagnosis of diseases of anus, rectum and colon as well as determine the source of large intestine bleeding accurately. Moreover a biopsy and polypectomy can also be performed to provide diagnosis and treatment so that an operation may not be necessary.
